So I need assistance evaluating a quote for creating and maintaining (indefinitely) a gallery website for my wife's jewelry business.

This would be creating a site from scratch, basically, with an existing logo, domain name, and color scheme.

The site would have 3 to 5 pages of jewelry displayed (9 - 12 pictures per page?), and each page would have a link to a password-protected price list and order form (for shop owners to use).

The gallery pages would be open to the general public.

Indefinite maintenance means frequent (monthly or more often) updates of the pieces displayed - my wife would upload them to her flikr account and the web guy would collect them and post them to the galery site.

The quote is $3200. That seems quite high to me. I could do the basic site, but password-protection isn't something I've done before. And frequent updates would be doable, but might consume too much time out of my already-crowded schedule.

Any thoughts on the price?
Any web experts out there want to meet with her and bid on this?
