Harry Potter - when should I start reading?

I haven't read any of the books. I'm trying to decide if I should read the US versions I have or wait until I get the UK versions of 6 & 7 and then start to read the British ones.

I haven't seen the Brit versions of the books, so I can't advise on that score.

I read *all* the available HP books last summer/autumn, and I found them enjoyable - and fairly quick to read. Start now on the series and read the final one after the buzz has died down a bit.
